Come Home Teakwood Collection

Strength. Beauty. History.

Imagine white flowers falling from the heights of the trees and their fragrant blossoms scattering across the rainforest floor. History can be felt in each tree that stands proud and tall in the powerful silence. These qualities and more can be felt in each hand carved piece in our Teakwood Collection.

Teakwood has been used for centuries to build durable ships that crossed the seas through storms and sun to carry travelers trading textiles, precious jewels and more years ago. Our beautiful, made-to-order pieces will be similar symbols of strength, beauty, history and love to be adored and preserved for generations each time you Come Home.

Teakwood changes color with age, new teakwood varies in color from light to dark brown, and as it ages over time it turns light silver gray. You will begin to see the first gray streaks after your teak furniture has been in the weather for about three to four months. To preserve this beautiful shade of gray, we suggest that you wash your teak furniture at least once a year with a mild detergent and water. A quick rinse does well for outdoor teakwood as well.

Teakwood naturally contains high levels of wood oils, so it's not necessary to treat it with wood sprays, oils or preservatives. However, adding a teakwood oil treatment will provide a beautiful surface sheen to enhance the beauty of your piece. (Make sure that your teakwood furniture is clean and dry before treating as it is not good to trap water under the coat of oil.)
